Thanksgiving Turkeys and Meals

Thanks to a very generous donation from and from food collected during our Thanksgiving Food drive and many drives sponsored by our supporters this fall, Open Table was able to provide Thanksgiving turkeys and meals for all of our guests that wanted them.

Apellis Pharmaceuticals provided 100 Thanksgiving Dinner meal bags, which included a ready-to-cook turkey, stuffing mix, canned green beans and sweet potatoes, marshmallows, fried onions, cranberry sauce, brownie mix, sparkling juice, and more – all packed in a reusable shopping bag! Guests will be able to cook a full traditional Thanksgiving meal for their families. Thank you, Apellis!

Thoughtful youngsters at the Concord Carousel Preschool created a joyful Thanksgiving Dinner-in-a-box. The hand decorated box included ingredients for several side dishes, handmade, reusable placemats and napkin rings, and a festive centerpiece. The box was presented to one very lucky family. Thank you, Concord Carousel!

For guests who are unable to cook or for whom a whole turkey would be too much, our SOS chefs created fresh and delicious turkey dinners – ready to reheat and serve.

And for those who wanted to enjoy Thanksgiving with friends and neighbors, we held our annual Thanksgiving Dinner in Concord a week before Thanksgiving, on Thursday, November 21st. A fabulous and festive meal was served to close to 100 guests!
