Become a Volunteer
More than 200 active volunteers work throughout the year so that Open Table guests can receive groceries and be served weekly community suppers in a supportive, caring environment in both Concord and Maynard.
More than 175 guests are served weekly in both Concord and Maynard.
Although there are many ways that volunteers of alll ages can provide service to Open Table, volunteers need to be high-school age or older to help on-site.
High School & Adult Opportunities
Here’s how you can help:
- prepare meals
- shop for food
- pick up food from corporate donors
- assist in the food pantry
- serve dinners
- clean up
- provide transportation
- organize a food drive
How Can Children or Younger Teenagers Help?
There are many ways that community youth can provide volunteer service to Open Table:
- Organize a food drive in your school, church, synagogue or community organization
- Donate baked goods for our guests to enjoy
- Make festive centerpieces for our dining tables
- Collect and donate household products, paper goods and personal care items
- Contact us about special food projects that families with very young or young children can participate in
