Open Table food drive this weekend at Whole Foods in Bedford

CONCORD, MA — Open Table and Whole Foods in Bedford are teaming up this weekend for a food drive to benefit area families who need help stretching their food budgets.

From Friday, September 30, to Sunday, October 2, shoppers can pick up a list with Open Table’s current grocery needs, then add an item or two to their shopping carts. Volunteers will be available at the store’s exit to take the donated items. It’s an easy way to help feed people.

Since 1989, Open Table has been serving more than 300 guests weekly with community suppers and food pantries in Concord and Maynard. They not only provide healthy food to anyone who needs it, but also a welcoming community of friendship and support, for individuals who might otherwise eat alone and families who are stretched thin.

Hours of the food drive are Friday from 12-6 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am-6 pm. Whole Foods Market in Bedford is located at 170 Great Road.
