Recipe: Sautéed Swiss Chard
Sautéed Swiss Chard
Ingredients:
- 2 bunches of Swiss chard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
- A few grinds of black pepper or a pinch of red pepper flakes
- Lemon wedges
Directions
- Separate stems from leaves. Cut the stems into ¼ inch slices. Pile up the leaves and chop them coarsely.
- Put the oil into a large skillet over medium heat. Saute the stems until they begin to soften, about 2 minutes.
- Add garlic and pepper, stir until fragrant. Add the leaves and keep stirring for about 2 minutes more until wilted.
- Add the juice from a wedge of lemon. Toss all together and serve, with additional lemon on the side.
