#Giving Tuesday at Open Table

Getting enough to eat is a problem people in our community face every day. An average American family spends $150 each week on groceries. Imagine shopping for your family if you have recently lost your job, are unable to work due to illness, or have lost a spouse whose income you depend on. How hard would it be to fill a shopping cart if you worked 50-hours a week but were only paid minimum wage and have to also pay rent, utilities, and other bills?

But YOU can help. YOU can fill a shopping cart for a person, a family, or several families.

On this #GivingTuesday, please consider giving a gift of groceries to those less fortunate in our community. Any amount is appreciated.

• $50 will provide a week of meals for a single person
• $150 will fill a cart for a family of four
• $500 will feed a family for the month of December
